Sonic the Hedgehog CD (Sonic CD for short) is a platform action game developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega on its Mega Drive accessory Mega-CD platform for home consoles, first released in Japan on September 23, 1993. Continuing the story of the previous two works "Sonic" and "Sonic 2", in this work, the game's protagonist Sonic must cross many levels to stop the villain Dr. Egghead from stealing the Chaos Gems, the plot to rule the world. Sonic's partner Amy and rival Metal Sonic and the first appearance in this work.
